Team Lead

The Team Lead

How the Team Lead shares a task with your other AI employees, and how you follow and stop that work.

The Team Lead is an AI employee built in to every workspace, and the default on Home. Give it a task as you would any employee. It decides which pieces to do itself and which to hand to the other AI employees in the workspace.

How delegated work runs

Each piece the Team Lead hands out is a run for one employee. Helpers see only their piece and the files the Team Lead gives them. They never talk to you: their questions go back to the Team Lead, which brings their results and files together in its reply.

Only employees added to the task's workspace and not disabled can help. Add employees on the AI employees page to give the Team Lead more specialists.

Follow and stop delegated work

  1. Open the task. Delegated work lists each run with the helper's name, its piece of work and its status: Working, Needs input, Done, Failed or Stopped.
  2. Finished runs fold under Earlier. A finished run shows the credits it used.
  3. To stop one run, choose Stop on its card. Only that run stops, and work done so far is kept.

Name the employees you want

In a Team Lead task, type @ and choose employees under AI employees. The Team Lead gives each of them the piece of work you meant for them.

Changes to your team

Ask the Team Lead to hire, add, pause, resume or rename an AI employee, and it shows a Change proposed for your team card. It may also suggest hiring a specialist itself. It can propose a scheduled task too, on a Scheduled task proposed card. Nothing changes until someone allowed to make the change chooses Confirm or Create scheduled task, unless their Auto mode is on: then a change that matches their request can run without the card.

If the helpers finish but the Team Lead can't go on, for example because there are not enough credits, the task says so. Choose Try again when you are ready.
