Members and roles

Members and roles

Invite people, choose their role and workspaces, manage workspaces and the company profile, and transfer ownership.

Open the Settings menu in the sidebar and choose Company settings. Its tabs are Company profile, Workspaces, Members and Permissions & roles. Company owners and administrators make the changes below; other members see these tabs as Read only.

Invite a member

  1. On the Members tab, choose Add member.
  2. Enter their Work email, choose a Role (Administrator or Member) and the Accessible workspaces.
  3. Choose Send invitation. It appears under Pending invitations, where you can Resend it or Revoke invitation.
  4. The person opens the link in the invitation email, signs in or creates an account with that address, and chooses Accept invitation.

An account can belong to only one company at a time. To change a member's role or workspaces, choose Edit, then Save member. Remove takes away their company and workspace access immediately; their past tasks and results keep their attribution.

Roles

There are three roles: Owner, Administrator and Member. Roles are fixed for now and can't be changed. Members create tasks, manage projects and publish shared Knowledge in their workspaces. Administrators can also manage all tasks, AI employees, Knowledge, Connectors, scheduled tasks, members, workspaces and the company profile. The owner can access every workspace; administrators and members only the workspaces they've been given access to. The Permissions & roles tab lists exactly what each role may do.

Workspaces and company profile

  1. On the Workspaces tab, choose Create Workspace, enter a Workspace name and choose Save. Use Rename or Disable on a workspace, or Switch to open it.
  2. On the Company profile tab, choose Edit profile to change the Company name and other details, then Save profile. You can also upload a Company logo.

The current workspace and the company's last active workspace cannot be disabled. A disabled workspace keeps its past tasks and results.

Transfer ownership or leave

  1. The owner chooses Transfer ownership on the Members tab, picks the New owner and Your role after transfer, and confirms with the Current password (or a code sent to the sign-in email, for an account that signs in only with Google). Then choose Confirm transfer.
  2. To leave, open Account settings and choose Leave company under Company and role. The owner must transfer ownership to another member first.
