AI credits and usage
How AI credits work, what the task box tells you, how to request more and where to see your company's usage.
AI employees use your company's AI credits when they work: for new tasks, replies and scheduled runs. 1 credit = US$0.01 of estimated AI cost. Free credits never expire. In a task, each run shows how many credits it used.
What the task box tells you
Under the task box on Home and in a task, a short line appears when less than 10% of the credits your company was given is left. If your company has no AI credits left, new tasks and replies cannot start, but work that is already running finishes. If your company has used today's AI credits, the message shows when they reset.
Request more credits
- Choose Request more credits, under the task box when credits run out or on the AI credits card in Company settings, Usage.
- Optionally answer What will you use them for?, then choose Send request.
Company owners and administrators can send a request. WorkPier staff review it and tell your company's owner and administrators the outcome, in the app and by email. Once sent, a request cannot be edited or withdrawn here. Other members see Ask your company owner to request more credits.
The Usage tab
- Open the Settings menu in the sidebar and choose Company settings, then the Usage tab. Only company owners and administrators see it.
- Under AI credits, see the Balance, Used today, Total granted and the Credit basis.
- Under Monthly statistics, pick a month to see the text read and written by AI, the Estimated cost, and the tasks completed, tasks failed and files generated.
- Under Company storage, see the Used storage, split into Uploaded files and Generated files.
Usage covers the whole company, all workspaces. The estimated cost comes from the AI service's public prices and is not a bill. Storage shows what is kept now and does not change with the month you choose.
