Tasks and AI employees

Give a task

Describe the work on Home, choose an employee, add files, then follow, stop and continue the task.

Create a task

  1. Open Home. In the box at the bottom of the page, describe the work you want completed. Say what you need, what it is for and what the result should look like.
  2. Check the AI employee shown above the box. The Team Lead is the default. When more than one employee can take the work, choose another from the AI employee list.
  3. Choose Create task, the arrow button in the box. On a keyboard, Enter also creates it; Shift+Enter starts a new line.

On the AI employees page, Assign work on an employee's card takes you to the same box with that employee chosen.

Add files

  1. Choose Add materials, the plus button in the box.
  2. Choose Upload from this device, or Choose from knowledge. Services you have connected are listed there too.
  3. You can also paste or drop files into the box, or type @ to pick from your recent files and knowledge.

One task accepts at most 10 files and 50 MB in total, and each file can be at most 25 MB.

Follow, stop and continue

After you create the task, it opens and the employee starts work. If the employee is busy, the task shows Waiting to start until it is free. Its replies appear in the conversation, and Show record under a reply lists what it did.

  1. To reply or ask for changes, write in the box under the conversation and choose Send. When the employee suggests a next step, choose Fill in or press Tab to put it in the box.
  2. To stop a run, choose Stop, the square button in the box. The task shows Stopping at a safe point, then This run was stopped.
  3. To continue a stopped task, send a message whenever you want.

If the employee asks you a question, the task waits for your answer. See Tasks that need you for how to answer.
